Lock Account

Lock Account is a security feature that locks your account temporarily from accessing RHB Mobile and Online Banking. Nobody can log in to your account once it's locked.

Lock Account is used to:

  • Protect your account and funds if you notice any suspicious transactions or suspect you might be an online scam victim.
  • Enhance your account security by removing your authorised device.

After locking your account, these features and services will still be available to you:

  • ATM withdrawals
  • Payments or transfers to your account
  • Usage of RHB Credit/Debit Cards
  • Previous DuitNow AutoDebit and Scheduled Payments

If you notice any suspicious/unauthorised transactions or suspect you might be an online scam victim, use the Lock Account feature to protect the funds in your account. Then, call Customer Contact Centre at +603-9206 8118 to make a report.

RHB Online Banking
Step 1: Log in to RHB Online Banking
Step 2: Go to 'Settings' > 'Security'
Step 3: Tap on ‘Lock Account’
Step 4: Read the terms and tick the box to enable 'Lock Account Now'
Step 5: Tap on 'Lock Account Now'

Note: You'll be logged out immediately from RHB Online Banking and your device will be removed from RHB Mobile Banking App

RHB Mobile Banking App
Step 1: Launch RHB Mobile Banking App
Step 2: Tap on ‘Lock Account’ icon
Step 3: Tap on 'Take Me There' to navigate to RHB Online Banking
Step 4: Log in to RHB Online Banking
Step 5: Go to 'Settings' > 'Security'
Step 6: Tap on ‘Lock Account Now’
Step 7: Read the terms and tick the box to enable 'Lock Account Now'
Step 8: Tap on 'Lock Account Now'

Note: You'll be logged out immediately from RHB Online Banking and your device will be removed from RHB Mobile Banking App

Once you've successfully locked your account, you can't log in to RHB Mobile and Online Banking but these features and services will still be available to you:

  • ATM withdrawals
  • Payments or transfers to your account
  • Usage of RHB Credit/Debit Cards
  • Previous DuitNow AutoDebit and Scheduled Payments

Once you've successfully locked your account, you'll receive an SMS and e-mail to notify that your account has been locked from access to RHB Mobile and Online Banking.

To unlock your account when it’s safe to do so, visit the nearest RHB branch or call Customer Contact Centre at +603-9206 8118.
You're required to serve a 12-hour cooling-off period before you can start using your account on RHB Mobile and Online Banking.
If you suspect someone has unlocked your account, immediately call Customer Contact Centre at +603-9206 8118 for assistance.
You might not be able to log in to your RHB Mobile and Online Banking to perform any transactions, including online payments via FPX. If you don't unlock your account within 6 months, your online access will be terminated and you'll need to register for a new username.
