Secure Plus

For a more secure banking experience, RHB Mobile Banking has the following security features:

 

  • Your mobile device is tied to your RHB access (i.e. specific username and password).
  • Banking services access is protected by a secured login procedure using Secure Word to ensure you're connected to the official RHB site.
  • Challenge Questions to authenticate transactions deemed high risk.
  • Only 1 login session allowed per RHB access (i.e. specific username and password). If the same RHB access is used to login to another device, the current session will be terminated.
  • RHB Secure Plus to authorise your transaction on the RHB Mobile Banking App.

RHB Secure Plus lets you perform secure and authorised transactions. Upon successful registration, you'll receive push notifications via RHB Mobile Banking App on your authorised mobile device. You can then review the transaction details and authorise the transaction. To ensure compatibility, use a mobile device that's supported by the Bank.

Only one device can be linked as your authorised device. If you log in and onboard from a different device, your existing authorised device will be removed and you'll need to link again.

Changing your mobile number will not affect RHB Secure Plus as it's tied to your device. However, you're required to update your mobile number by calling our Customer Contact Centre to continue receiving One-time PIN (OTP) via SMS.

It's really simple! Just use any word of 6 to 10 alphanumeric characters and don't use any special characters. Your Secret Word will appear on the login screen of RHB Mobile Banking or RHB Internet Banking when you login.

Remember to always ensure that the Secret Word is similar to what you've chosen before entering your password.

Unlink your device via 'Settings' > 'plus' > 'Authorised Device'.

A pop-up message via push notification or Secure Plus icon will be prompted and you'll need to approve the transaction within 60 seconds.

Your transaction won't be processed and the amount won't be deducted from your account.

If you notice any suspicious/unauthorised transactions or suspect you might be an online scam victim, immediately use the Lock Account feature to protect your funds. Then, call Customer Contact Centre to make a report.
Make a transaction to receive an RHB Secure Plus notification on your device and tap the notification to approve or reject the transaction. If you don't get a notification, go to your Pre-Login screen and tap on RHB Secure Plus icon to approve or reject the transaction.

To view your device details, please follow these steps:

  1. Login to the RHB Mobile banking app.
  2. Navigate to 'Settings' > 'Security' > 'Authorized Device'.

To change the registered device, please follow these steps:

  1. Download the latest RHB Mobile app on the new device.
  2. Login to the app.
  3. Link the new device for secure plus registration.
You'll need to submit another request as your transaction will expire after 60 seconds.
You don't need to authorise payments to your Favourite Individual, Biller, or Top-Up recipient. You're only required to authorise payments to non-Favourites.
To approve or reject payments on the RHB Mobile Banking App, you're required to link your device as your authorised device and register for RHB Secure Plus.
